15 Things you should know about CBD Oil Vape before you try it

Nov 25, 2019Mike Martinez

Vaping has become the most popular method for taking CBD but vaping CBD oil is the most unfamiliar to new customers. This might raise questions to new consumers about the unique benefits that both and new experienced CBD consumers.

This blog will serve as your comprehensive guide that covers the essential things to know about CDB vape oils and how to use them properly. !!IMPORTANT!! If you’re taking prescription medications, consult your doctor before adding CBD into your regimen.

  1. What is CBD?

CBD, short for cannabidiol, is one of the most prominent compounds found in a cannabis plant that offers many therapeutic effects. CBD promises a lot of things from relaxation and relieves symptoms associated with inflammation, anxiety, depression, pain, and epilepsy. It can be infused into a variety of products including vape juice, edibles, tinctures and more.

  1. Three 3 main types of CBD

You probably have come across the words “full-spectrum,” “broad-spectrum,” and “isolate” paired up with CBD. Since the CBD industry is still new, these distinctions are still evolving. But generally speaking, these are the three types of concentrated CBD in the market.

  1. CBD affects your body and brain

Our bodies naturally produce other types of cannabinoids. These compounds interact with two chemical receptors: CB1 receptors, and CB2 receptors. CBD influence these receptors to attach more of the body’s natural cannabinoids, though research on the exact mechanism is still vague. These compounds are different from CBD, and CBD doesn’t appear to attach to either receptor.

  1. Vaping CBD oil can’t get you high

CBD is different from THC, another compound found in cannabis. They have different effects, THC possesses the psychoactive properties of marijuana. In simple terms, THC is the compound that’s responsible for making you high, and CBD doesn’t possess these psychoactive properties. Although, there are some CBD-infused products that also contain THC. These products may be psychoactive.

  1. What is CBD oil?

CBD oil vape juice doesn’t actually contain any oil. CBD vape juice or CBD distillate is a more appropriate name for it but the name “CBD oil vape juice” stick to the public. Typically, manufacturers blend the extract with a carrier liquid. Lots of vape oils contain vegetable glycerin (VG), propylene glycol (PG), or a mixture of both. PG and VG e-liquids are popular for different reasons. PG creates a stronger throat hit and VG produces thicker clouds. If the CBD vape juices contain anything other than PG, VG, CBD extract, terpenes, and cannabinoids, then it’s most probably not unsuitable for inhalation.  Don’t risk it. Check the label if it says about vaping, vape juice, e-liquid or e-juice on the label and should not contain any actual oil.

  1. There is no “one-size-fits-all” dosage for CBD

Unfortunately, finding out which dosage is right for you can be a messy process of trial and error. Since CBD isn’t a doctor-approved prescription, there aren’t reliable recommended doses. The first thing you should do is research the appropriate dosage ranges and ask your CBD supplier’s recommendations. Then try it; if it works, scale back the dose a bit.  If it’s not working, scale it up. Find the minimum effective dose and go with that.

  1. Why are lab tests so important?

Lab tests are so important because they verify cannabinoid content, THC levels, residual solvents, and contaminants. Every time you buy CBD, always make sure it’s up to date (ideally from within the last nine months) and are from a credible lab. Don’t feel intimidated by technical data in the report, the THC and CBD levels are typically written in bold and easy to identify. Look for “Max Active THC” and “Max Active CBD” to find out the levels of THC and CBD. They are generally measured in “mg per mL,” “mg per bottle,” and as an overall percentage, you can use this to calculate dosages.

  1. Is vaping safe?

Vaping is a healthier alternative to smoking. Unlike the smoke or cigarettes or marijuana, vaporizers create steam rather than combust materials and release a slow vapor that is less harsh on your lungs.

  1. Is vaping CBD oil better than other methods?

Unlike other methods, vaporizing CBD vape enters directly into the bloodstream through the lungs and is not processed anywhere else in the body. Vaping CBD is fast-acting, and the high percentage of CBD gets to be absorbed into the bloodstream.

  1. How to vape CBD?

Your device comes with a user manual, read the instructions to make sure that you’re using it properly. If you want a quick fix without preparations, you can opt with Disposable CBD vapes. They’re draw-activated, all you need to do is inhale without pushing any buttons.

  1. Can I vape too much CBD oil?

Some have reported drowsiness when they had too much CBD oil. Increasing your dosage of CBD should not raise concern.

  1. Is it legal?

CBD is no longer criminalized by the federal government. State Idaho and North Dakota still have CBD restrictions because their laws lump hemp products with cannabis products. To be able to use CBD in these states, you need your doctor’s prescription.

  1. Side effects of vaping CBD

Research into the side effects of CBD is still in its early stage. The most documented side effect of CBD is mild drowsiness with first-time users. This side effect can subside with regular use. Drowsiness is often caused by high doses, meanwhile low to medium doses can produce the opposite effect. Slight euphoria, hunger, and red eyes are other side effects observed. In comparison with prescription drugs, the side effects of CBD is vague.

  1. Is vaping CBD oil the only method?

No, vaping isn’t the only method to use CBD but vaping is one of the best methods! There are many different methods such as oral tinctures, CBD drinks, CBD isolate powder, and CBD capsules and edibles. If you’re planning to make edibles, you should consider trying CBD crystal isolate powder to add in your food. It is ideal for making edibles since it usually contains 99% pure CBD.

You can also vape CBD without using CBD e-juice. You can vape raw hemp, CBD-rich marijuana, or CBD concentrates. Lastly, CBD vape juice is made with food-grade ingredients, so you can take them orally!

  1. CBD might interact with medications

CBD has the possibility of interacting with some medications like certain foods. It impacts the liver and the body’s ability to process and detoxify from chemicals, including many pharmaceutical drugs. CBD might interact the way that medications are processed by the body. Some drugs are even riskier to combine with CBD, so make sure you consult your doctor before you take CBD with your medication.

Conclusion

Trying a new method of consuming CBD doesn’t have to be hard. You may be not familiar with vaping now, but with a bit of practice, you’ll master it in no time! And at the same time, you’ll reap the benefits of vaping CBD to be worth the initial learning curve.

  • I would love to try CBD and vape it because that helps in many other things. Vaping is a popular way to take CBD and as you said that vaporizers create steam rather than combust materials and release a slow vapor that is less harsh on your lungs, but the dosage needs to be controlled as it can make you feel drowsy. So, I am thinking I will order the vape oil also along with other bulk vape supplies that I need.

  • I never knew so much on CBD oil vape till now, but this post has given me a lot of information on that now. It may be illegal to vape in certain states but it has therapeutic properties for which people choose it. I am opening a vape store and looking for Oem E-Liquid but I think I can also sell vaporizers to vape CBD oil. I will do more research on that to launch a new device that can help in doing it perfectly.
